To All Parents and Concerned Citizens of Stanislaus County:
The Stanislaus County Republican Assembly has recently adopted a resolution to direct our organizational efforts and resources toward supporting parents and families of school-aged children in our community. Our goal is to help ensure that the education our children receive is academically sound, morally grounded, and aligned with the values of the families we serve.
To pursue this goal, we are establishing the PARENTAL RIGHTS AND EDUCATION POLICY FORUM (PREP Forum), a county-wide network of parents and concerned citizens to monitor and track developments in our schools ‘ curricula, instructional materials, classroom activities, school board decisions, policies, and any other matters that affect the formation and well-being of our children. This network will allow parents and community members to share information, raise concerns, and propose practical solutions. Through this effort, we intend to offer constructive input, advocate for improvement where needed, and support legislative or administrative action when necessary.
We are now asking for your partnership. Please help us identify parents and community members who may wish to take part in this effort. While it is particularly helpful to involve parents with children currently in local schools, active enrollment is not required—any resident who cares about the future of our county’s children is welcome. It truly takes a community to form the next generation in truth, virtue, purpose, and civic responsibility.
At a time when many cultural influences surrounding our children are confused or misguided, it is essential that we stand together to provide them with a strong foundation. If we do not guide their formation, the world will do it in our stead. By working together, we can create the supportive “village” our children deserve—one that helps protect their innocence, strengthens their character, and prepares them to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
